After more than 10 years spent in Patagonia, you will be guided by me throughout your trip.

Installed in Coyhaique at the beginning of the stay for one or two days, we will be within reach of the big mythical rivers of the region such as the rio Simpson, the rio Paloma or the rio Manihuales. Other smaller rivers make it possible to achieve very good fishing and are spared by the American clientele descending the rivers in rafts.

Thereafter and for the rest of the stay, we will head to the Rio Norte lodge, located 1h30 drive from Coyhaique and fish the surrounding rivers and lakes, protected from any fishing pressure. If your stay is long and requires me to go away for a re-supply, you can fish a portion of the Rio Norte which flows at the foot of the lodge.

Forget fishing in France, its techniques, etc... you enter another world.

The Rio Norte is (over)populated with wild brown trout with a good density of fish from 35 to 40 cm and the most beautiful specimens reach 55cm. A prolific day can allow you to catch fifty fish and get twice as many. We use very large flies to select the fish and leave the small trout unscathed.

Of course, this is not the only river we will go fishing: one of the best rivers in the world flows only half an hour away by car. Not dangerous either, absolutely perfect for dry fly fishing, it is home to some very nice farios which have obviously taken advantage of the periods of confinement and the last few seasons with little fishing pressure.

Other almost unknown rios will also have some very nice surprises in store for you.

Fishing days last about 8 hours. According to your desires, fishing will be done on foot or in a float-tube, in a lake or in a river; the fly is very suitable for fishing the surrounding rivers, but light casting enthusiasts will find their happiness on certain courses as well as the toc with artificial bait (natural bait being prohibited). Wading fishing is relatively easy and the diversity of river profiles allow us to choose courses adapted to your wishes. Some rivers have a fast profile, alternating large currents and basins, others draw meanders, are populated by large brown trout and some rivers experience king salmon ascents that can exceed one meter. Record fish, weighing several kilos, are rare and should be sought in lakes and ponds, on the fly or with a lure. Know that Northern Patagonia is a region rather famous for the incomparable density of fish it offers rather than for its record fish.

The float-tube is hardly used in Chile and allows, if the wind conditions allow it, almost miraculous fishing in small lakes without any fishing pressure. The show is guaranteed when you find yourself surrounded by brown trout noisily gobbling dragonflies and jumping to catch them in flight!

All equipment is provided: rod, reel, float-tube; just think of your favorite flies and lures to make your stay unforgettable. I will provide you with the list of equipment to take with the essential models.
